Arizona Voters’ Agenda: Stay Tuned for New Insights Next Week!
With all statewide offices and the entire legislature on the ballot, Arizona’s 2022 midterm election is consequential to Arizona’s future, and it is critical to center the voices of Arizonans and their priorities in the dialogue. As we near the General Election, Center for the Future of Arizona (CFA) conducted a second Arizona Voters’ Agenda survey of likely voters of all ages and political affiliations to build on findings and understanding developed from the initial survey conducted earlier this year.
The latest Arizona Voters’ Agenda survey followed up on voters’ views on elections, surplus spending, and expanded understanding of voters’ priorities in water & environment and affordable housing. The findings will be released in consecutive announcements next week – keep an eye on your inbox! In the meantime, get caught up with the Arizona Voters’ Agenda:

Special thanks to Sintra Hoffman of Westmarc, Mayor Corey Woods of Tempe, Mayor Mila Besich of the Town of Superior, Sandy Moriarty of Sedona, and Mayor Eric Orsborn of Buckeye.
Later in the week, CFA President & CEO, Dr. Sybil Francis, shared insights from the Arizona Voters’ Agenda and discussed centering the voices of Arizonans in elections with LACT conference attendees. |

CFA’s Arizona Pathways to Prosperity Hosted Student Voices Focus Groups with Westwood High School
In collaboration with Westwood High School in Mesa, CFA’s Arizona Pathways to Prosperity (APTP) team hosted focus groups with hundreds of high school students to better understand how their current education is shaping their future and their perspectives of pathways to higher education and careers. |
|
|
With a simple goal to listen to student voices, the data collected from these focus groups, and others on the horizon, will inform APTP’s efforts. Our team will be collecting more data from high school and community college students around Arizona, and after all the data is analyzed, the findings will be shared with our partners, schools, and the public. Data Snapshot: Securing Our Water Future
Why it matters: Very few things in politics achieve unanimous support, but the issues of addressing Arizona’s water future and tackling drought come very close.
Virtually all voters are concerned about water, and this was the case long before recent news that the Colorado River is hitting dangerous lows and our state leaders will be required to further cut water use by 21%.
Our historic 23-year drought is leading to real questions and concerns for Arizona’s future. It’s certainly a complex topic, but Arizonans have made it clear that they want their candidates to have a plan.
Learn more about the Arizona Voters’ Agenda and the questions that need addressing to help voters elect leaders aligned with their priorities this election. |
